Punta Cana 2011

Punta Cana is one of my favorite places to go.  Fresh fruit and lovely landscapes are great but lack of modern life makes it brilliant.  Sure they have internet, but you have to work at it.  Which means you aren't going to have anything to do but sit back, relax, go enjoy the locals, the beautiful water, a tropical drink and fabulous weather! This year we went with our friends Kristen & Kevin.  Here are a few photo's and then the video I put together.  The video is a little long, but I was covering memories for all of us!

miss these kids

So they aren't mine, and I'm not even Aunt Melissa - but they are just so dang cute and I miss these kids like crazy.  I'm really hoping they make a trip south this Christmas and spend a day with me.  *hint hint*  I mean seriously - don't they make you smile?  even just a little?

Jade's Wedding

We enjoyed Jade & Eric's wedding this weekend.  She was a beautiful bride and he was glowing as she came down the aisle.  They are such a great couple!  Brian and I were lucky enough to be involved, taking the engagement & bridal pictures for her and doing the flowers for the big day.  The night of, we just enjoyed with their families and had a blast on the dance floor. Check FB for the dancing photo's, too many to share on here.  But we also got the enjoy time with some great friends!

Valerie, Megan, Melanie and I

Melanie and Valerie dancing at the table!

Courtney & Mel are about a week apart - and one having a girl and one having a boy!

Me, Megan & Jade right before her and Eric headed out!

I'm sure they are having a wonderful time on their cruise!  And sad that Megan & I couldn't escape to the beach via Jade's luggage...

Thanks for sharing your special day!

My friend Jordan is doing a giveway on her blog for a super cute pair of headphones with rhinestones (so Jordan).  She has a great blog, so hop on over and put your name in the hat!

Summers Most Awesome Day!!

To help celebrate summer we rented an adult size inflatable slip N slide.  It was awesome!  I am so sore from my neck to my toes it's not even funny.  They delivered at 9 am and picked up at 9 pm, and we played pretty much the whole day!

setting up!

Ready to go!!

Dad approves!

We are so doing this again next year!

Housewarming

We had our Pastor over on Friday night to bless the house and followed with our housewarming on Saturday.  Surprisingly it was a great way to restock our wine collection!  We had so much fun!  Pictures from the slip N slide will come tomorrow, so watch for them.

We are so blessed to have great friends that are such a joy to be around.  We had about 30 people throughout the day and we are so glad that they made it by.  A house never really feels like a home until it's been shared with the people you love!  I didn't catch pictures of everyone (I didn't want to handle the camera while wet), but here are a few of the people we are blessed to spend our lives with.

The Hamilton's (expecting baby H in Jan).  They are in our small group and we have been so thankful to have them in our lives.  They are amazing friends and will be incredible parents.

Chrissy & Chris
Chrissy brought me vodka, and I'm pretty sure it's because we're soul mates!  LOL!

Angela - she makes the most amazing desserts.  That post to follow too!
Brian is in the background with Carly & Kendal.  The girls had a lot of fun on the slide too and asked their mom if they can rent one for their birthday so that Brian & I can play too.  So cute!

Thanks to all of our friends that came.  Naomi wins the prize for furthest drive - Houston!  We missed a few friends that weren't able to make it, but are so happy that we got to have fun and share our house with all of you.

It's good to be home!
